Hacking forum that suffered a breach ceases operation amid concerns of FBI infiltration
Following the arrest of Breached’s founder and owner, Pompompurin, the remaining administrator, Baphomet, took the site offline and planned to migrate it to a new, untraceable infrastructure. However, Baphomet disclosed in a series of updates that law enforcement likely had access to Pompompurin’s machine, leaving the site’s data and users vulnerable.
In response to this security breach, Baphomet has decided to shut down the forum for good and allow community members to choose their next destination. The site was notorious for its hosting, leaking, and selling of data obtained from breached companies, governments, and various organizations, and attracted people from all realms of cybercrime. With hacking forums being seized by law enforcement, threat actors have been migrating to Telegram as a new platform for their activities.
