Google cloud fails again within less than a week

Google Cloud services have experienced their second significant outage in less than a week, with service disruption affecting thousands of major customers. The cloud networking issue occurred for around two hours and left millions unable to access web pages.

The incident appeared to stem from a configuration change to Google Cloud’s load balancing services, briefly knocking numerous major sites offline. Google Cloud is expected to publish an analysis of the incident after completing its internal investigation.

Other tech giants such as Slack, AWS, Azure, Fastly, and Facebook have also faced sweeping outages this year, often due to software updates and configuration changes.
