Google Enhances Multi-Cloud Networking with Cross-Cloud Interconnect

Google is unveiling new updates to enhance multi-cloud networking with Cross-Cloud Interconnect and Private Service Connect improvements. With Cross-Cloud Interconnect, organizations can establish secure connections between Google Cloud and other public cloud platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. This enables running applications on multiple clouds, hosting SaaS in a multi-cloud environment, and migrating workloads between different cloud platforms. Private Service Connect allows private connections into Google Cloud that can extend into third-party services connected with Google. The updates aim to simplify connectivity, improve performance, and reduce costs for organizations adopting multi-cloud and SD-WAN deployments. Additionally, Google has enhanced its Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) support, including custom learned routes, to facilitate seamless integration between different cloud providers.
