Lansing Community College Closes for Two Days Due to Cybersecurity Threat

Lansing Community College has announced the cancellation of classes on Thursday and Friday due to a cybersecurity threat, as stated in their Facebook and Twitter posts. The college acknowledges that they do not have complete information about the situation and communication will be difficult once they disconnect from the network.

The cancellation includes both online and in-person classes, with the exception of Police and Fire academies and Aviation Maintenance courses in Mason, which will proceed as usual. The college has instructed employees not to work, except for those in specific departments such as the Police Department, IT, Payroll, incident management, Facilities, Academy, and Aviation personnel. Lansing Community College will provide updates regarding the situation on Twitter.
